Narrative

Approx. 1 x 0.5km lake in a narrow steep-sided hanging valley. Approx. 200 m.a.s.l., about 1.5km SE of the summit of Terrapin Hill, James Ross Island. So named as the lake is obscured until access to the valley has been gained (APC, 1993).
