Basin on the north side of Radian Ridge, immediately west of the confluence of the Pipecleaner and Radian Glaciers. A loud explosive boom was heard by members of the 1977/78 NZ Geological Survey field party working in the area, on 3 December 1977. The source of the boom remains a mystery.
