Narrative

A narrow island about 1 mile long, lying 3 miles north of Inexpressible Island and west of Mt Abbott peninsula, along the coast of Victoria Land. Discovered by the Northern Party, led by Campbell, of the BAE, 1910-13. Explored by Priestley and Dickason of this party on 5 February 1912, and named by Priestley because the rocks were densely covered with all sorts of lichens.
