flowing S into Saturn Glacier, E Alexander Island, George VI Sound, was photographed from the air by Ellsworth, 23 November 1935, and roughly mapped from air photographs (Joerg, 1937, map facing p.444); surveyed by FIDS from "Stonington Island" in 1949; in association with the names of planets in this area, named after Mars (APC, 1955, p.14; DOS 610 sheet W 71 68, 1960; BAS 250P sheet SR 19-20/14, 1-DOS 1974). Lednik Mars (Soviet Union. MMF chart 1961).
