It is about 8.5km NNW of the summit of Mount Menzies. Photographed by ANARE aircraft in 1957 and 1960. First visited by an ANARE party led by D.S. Trail in December, 1961. Named after Dr. R. Pardoe, medical officer at Mawson in 1961. |

An isolated peak, roughly pyramidal in shape, but with short prominent ridges extending from it. It is on the eastern side of the Tomilin Glacier in Oates Land. First visited in March 1961 by an airborne field party from the ANARE Expedition on the MV Magga Dan, 1961 led by Phillip Law. Named after Dr. W.D. Parkinson, geophysicist with the expedition. |

An "S" shaped rocky outcrop in snow about one third of the way up the slope to the Løken Moraines near Casey and measuring about 150 m by 50 m. A 1.5 m steel pole was established at the station mark at the centre of a rock cairn. A trig station NM/S/251 was established there in July 1978. The survey station was established with the support of Rod Parsons on the highest rock outcrop in the area. Rod Parsons made a significant contribution to the success of the survey work during the 1978 Glaciological Spring Traverse. Rod wintered as Radio Operator at Casey during 1978. |
