The higher, inland summit peak on Heard Island of the ridge running north-west to Mt Drygalski, at a height of 234 metres. This feature is a monumented trig station connected to the 1980 (then) Division of National Mapping survey. It is referred to in the Antarctic Pilot for anchorage instructions. Named after Con Veenstra, (then) Assistant Director, Division of National Mapping (1980), leader of the Australian National Mapping Expedition, 1980.

A large, heavily crevassed ice dome about 57 km south of Mount Twintop in Mac.Robertson Land. This feature had been seen by ANARE parties travelling south after 1957 but prior to 1967 the feature had been avoided. In 1967, John Manning, surveyor at Mawson, selected a route through the crevasses and established a beaconed tellurometer station on it. The name indicates the risk taken in crossing the dome.

A lake, in the eastern part of the Vestfold Hills about 19 km ENE of Davis Station. The region was photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47), ANARE (1954, 1957, 1958) and the Soviet Antarctic Expedition (1956).

The peninsula lies 7.0 kms north-east of Edgeworth David and due south of the Edisto Glacier Tongue. It measures about 4.5 by 2.2 kms and is situated at the south-western corner of the Edisto Glacier Tongue. High hills are a feature of its north-eastern and south-western extremities and the peninsula encompasses many other knolls and lakes.

An area of ice-free mainland rock and off-shore islands covering an area of about 512 square km on the Ingrid Christensen Coast. The rounded hills are mostly between 30 and 100 m above sea level and have a maximum height of 159 m. Discovered and named by a Norwegian expedition under Capt. Klarius Mikkelsen in 1935, when a brief landing was made in the northern part of the area. Further brief landings were made by Lincoln Ellsworth in 1939. The Vestfold Hills were photographed from the air by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37) and USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). Landings were made and exploration carried out in 1954 and 1955 by ANARE led by Phillip Law, who established Davis station in January, 1957. Named after Vestfold, a county in Norway.

An elongated nunatak in the centre of the Polarforschung Glacier, about 24 km ESE of Mount Caroline Mikkelsen on the Ingrid Christensen Coast. Mapped from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936) and called Vestknatten (The West Crag) by Norwegian cartographers. Visited by I.R. McLeod, geologist with the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey party in January, 1969.

A hill about 21 m above sea level, about 3 km south-west of the station buildings at Mirny. Discovered by the members of the Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1956, who called it Sopka Vetrov.

A small ice-covered island about 4 km off the coast of Enderby Land. Discovered on 12 January, 1930, by BANZARE under Sir Douglas Mawson, who named it after an Australian textile company which presented the expedition with cloth for uniforms.

A large bay lying between the Knox and Budd Coasts of Wilkes Land. Photographed from the air by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47) and visited by ships of USN Operation Windmill in January 1948. Named by USACAN after the sloop Vincennes, flagship of the US Exploring Expedition under Wilkes (1838-42).

The subglacial highlands are within the Australian Antarctic Territory and form the eastern extension of the Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains. The highlands run NNW-SSE. They were discovered and mapped by radio echo sounding by the Scott Polar Research Institute.

A prominent, rounded ice dome about 7 km north-east of Statler Hills. A survey station was established on the dome during the ANARE tellurometer traverse from Larsemann Hills to Reinbolt Hills in 1968. Named after Attila Vrana, cosmic ray physicist at Mawson in 1968, who assisted in the survey.
