Voyage 1 went to Macquarie Island but returned with a broken winch. The program then resumed as Voyage 1.1. Part of the CSIRO WOCE program. first true ANTDIV oceanographic study with detailed biological program. Transect from Tassie to Dibble ice tongue. First late winter cruise to sea ice zone.
