This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky hill rising to 462 m on the coast of Prince Gustav Channel, next S of the terminus of Aitkenhead Glacier on Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land. Situated 7.35 km NE of Mount Roberts, 4.69 km SE of Baley Nunatak and 4,35 km S of Tuff Nunatak. German-British mapping in 1996. Named after the Bulgarian folkloric hero Hitar Petar ("Sly Peter"). Approved on December 6, 2010.
