This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The peak rising to 1300 m in Petvar Heights, SE Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 5.83 km ENE of Fruzhin Peak, 8.94 km SE of Miller Peak, 2.52 km S of Ruset Peak and 8.57 km N of Mountainview Ridge. Overlooking Carey Glacier to the W and Rutford Ice Stream to the E. US mapping in 1988. Named after the settlement of Malkoch in Southern Bulgaria.
