This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The col of elevation 2700 m linking Doyran Heights to the E to Mount Mohl on the NE side of Craddock Massif in Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 2.94 km NE of Mount Mohl, 8.15 km E of Marts Peak, 8.66 km SE of Vanand Peak, 4.65 km SW of Mount Tuck and 1.47 km W by N of Prosenik Peak. Part of the glacial divide between Dater Glacier to the N and Thomas Glacier to the S. US mapping in 1988. Named after the settlement of Goreme in Southwestern Bulgaria.
