This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered buttress rising to 1500 m on the SE side of Detroit Plateau on Nordenskjöld Coast in Graham Land. Situated between the upper courses of Pyke and Albone Glaciers, 4.1 km SW of Zasele Peak, 12.15 km N by W of Dolen Peak, 5.15 km NE of Kopriva Peak and 27.95 km SSE of Volov Peak on Davis Coast. Steep and partly ice-free W, S and E slopes. Named after the medieval city of Bolgar, capital of Volga Bulgaria in 8-15th century AD.
