Una expedición foquera británica, al mando del capitán George Powell, visitó esta caleta en 1821 e informó de la pérdida del bergantín "Cora" de Liverpool, ocurrida en esta ubicación durante el año precedente. Pequeña caleta situada en la parte NW de rada Desolación, en el lado SE de la isla Desolación, islas Shetland del Sur.
