Narrative

An important tributary of the Trafalgar Glacier, which in turn is a tributary of the Tucker Glacier. Named by the NZ Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition, 1957-58, for the Coral Sea naval victory won by the United States and her allies over the Japanese south of New Guinea in 1943. It also has a coralline appearance because of an extremely broken ice-fall in its lower part.
