A creek at the north western end of Fairchild Beach on Heard Island which flows parallel to and just south west of the main lateral moraine south east of Compton Lagoon. The largest fur seal breeding colony on Heard Island in 1987/88 was at the mouth of this creek.

A small island about 3.7 km north of the Shaw Islands in Casey Bay, Enderby Land. Photographed by ANARE in 1956 and the Soviet Antarctic Expedition in 1957. Named by the Soviet Expedition after N. Galkin, physician with the Bellingshausen Expedition (1819-21).

A small peak on the western end of Mount Cresswell in the southern Prince Charles Mountains, Mac.Robertson Land. Photographed by ANARE in 1958. The feature was used as a navigation marker by ANARE parties in the vicinity. Named after P.B. Gallagher, Senior Diesel Mechanic at Mawson in 1971.

Two small islands separated by a narrow channel about 18 m wide in the eastern part of Magnet Bay. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37) and called Galten (The Boar). First visited by an ANARE party led by Bruce H. Stinear in September, 1957.

The subglacial mountains are within the Australian Antarctic Territory near the western boundary with Dronning Maud Land. They underlie and extend beyond the area of Dome Argus. The mountains were discovered by a Soviet Union Seismic party in 1958.

A small nunatak, lying approximately in the centre of Hordern Gap in the David Range between Mt. Coates and Mt. Hordern. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37) and called Metoppen (The Middle Peak). Renamed because of its location in Hordern Gap.

Gardner, diesel mechanic at Davis, 1958.

It has contorted rock strata which gives it the appearance of a gargoyle.A blunt headland, about 120 metres in height, facing Cauldron Bay, McDonald Islands. With the volcanic eruption On McDonald Island in 2003 the original feature disappeared so the name was recycled.

A rock ridge at the southern end of the Cobham Range. Mapped from ground surveys by the N.Z. Geological and Survey Antarctic Expeditions (1960-61, 1961-62) and air photographs taken by the US Navy. So named by the N.Z. Geological and Survey Antarctic Expedition (1964-65) because of the curiously carved rock buttresses on top of the ridge.
