Three black, rectangular, steep-sided rock outcrops about 57 km SSW of Cape Hudson in George V Land. Photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47), the Third Soviet Maritime Antarctic Expedition in the Ob in 1958 and ANARE in 1959. Named after the Special Committee for Antarctic Research (SCAR) of the International Council of Scientific Unions.

A hill on Heard Island about 410 m high to the west of Skua Beach and between the Brown Glacier and Stephenson Glacier on the east coast. The name was proposed by the 1948 ANARE.

A small glacier on Heard Island between Mt Drygalski and the lower point of North West Cornice. The name was proposed by Drygalski in Zum Kontinent des eisigens Sudens in Berlin in 1904. Drygalski makes acknowledgement in successive paragraphs to Count Baudissin and to Dr J. Schmidt of the Royal Prussian Ministry concerned with the expedition. The association of the names Baudissin and Schmidt on the first occasion on which Drygalski was assigning names suggests that Dr J. Schmidt is the person so honoured.

A rock outcrop in the Goodspeed Nunataks, southern Prince Charles Mountains, about 15 km east of Skinner Nunatak. First sighted by an ANARE seismic traverse party in 1957. Photographed by ANARE in 1958 and 1960. Named after E. Schneider, helicopter engineer with the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey party in 1972.

The south-western point of Shirley Island, Windmill Islands. The island was delineated from air photographs taken by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). Named after R.L. Schulz, a member of the 1958 Wilkes party.

A broken line of peaks extending about 22 km in a SW-NE direction, west of the Wilma Glacier, Kemp Land. Seen in November 1954 by an ANARE sledging party led by Robert G. Dovers. Named after G. Schwartz, French observer with ANARE at Mawson in 1954 and a member of the field party.

Charles H Scoble, diesel engineer of the first ANARE party was accidentally drowned in July 1948. The lake is overlooked by the cross erected to his memory.
