South Angle Lake is located at the western end of Mule Peninsula in the Vestfold Hills close to North Angle Lake. It is highly saline. The lake measures about 400 m by 150 m in size and is a number of metres below sea level. The lake should be considered meromictic.

A rock ridge running up the south eastern side of Big Ben, Heard Island from Lambeth Bluff to Budd Peak.

A mountain peak 877 metres high in the North Masson Range of the Framnes Mountains approximately a kilometre south of Rumdoodle Peak and 20 kilometres south of Mawson station.

The name appears on the first accurate map of the Island which was prepared by the AAE party, (Leslie Russel Blake, surveyor) and published in 'The Home of the Blizzard'.

The name appears on the sketch map prepared by Captain Fairchild of the New Zealand Government steamer 'Hinemoa' in 1891.

The name South Island for an island in the McDonald Islands was proposed by the 1948 ANARE. The feature was later found to be joined to McDonald Island and is a headland.

The Subglacial Highlands are within the Australian Antarctic Territory at the north-west end of the Wilkes Subglacial Basin. They run NNE-SSW and separate the Webb Subglacial Trench from the main part of the Wilkes Subglacial Basin. Discovered and mapped by radio echo sounding by the Scott Polar Research Institute.

A nunatak, 1220 m, located 5.5 km east-southeast of Schoonmaker Ridge in the Cook Mountains.

A prominent rock cliff, 7 km long, on the N side of Carlyon Glacier in Cook Mountains. The cliff is 9 km WNW of Cape Murray and rises to c. 500 meters.

A distinctive nunatak 7 km W of Cheney Bluff in the Cook Mountains. The feature rises to 1140 m and is pyramid shaped, especially when viewed from the west.

A rocky hill approximately 500 m southwest of Pyramid Peak. Not an outstandingly prominent feature, but one with substantial scientific significance, for which formal recognition as a geological monument has been considered. Its construction is of submarine lavas erupted from a raised vent in the deep ocean, which flowed from the vent downslope in several directions forming "worm-like" structures which are grey and wrinkled in appearance, resembling elephants" trunks (so giving the hill its proposed name). The vent of course is now raised above sea level and is inactive, but retains its original form and orientation remarkably faithfully, so providing a little-altered deep ocean geological feature in an easily visible position. NOTE by Mapping Officer inserted on 17/01/2006 Feature has also been referred to as Elephant Hill.

A bay between Mitchell Peninsula and Robinson Ridge, Windmill Islands. First plotted from air photographs taken by USN Operation Highjump (1946 47). Named after Lieutenant R.S. Sparkes, USN, military leader at Wilkes in 1958.  

An ice-covered island with prominent rock exposures, off the southern end of Gillock Island. Delineated from air photographs taken by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). Named after A.W. Spayd, an air-crew member of Operation Highjump.

A small, ice-covered, hornblende peak standing out from the western side of the Pomerantz Tableland in Oates Land. The feature was used as a survey station by the New Zealand Geological and Survey Antarctic Expedition (163-64). So-named because of its aspect.

A rocky point about midway along the western wide of William Scoresby Bay in Mac.Robertson Land.
