Island, 0.5km long, lying immediately east of Herring Island in the Windmill Islands. First mapped from air photos taken by United States Navy (USN) Operation Highjump, 1946-47. Named by C.R. Eklund, station scientific leader, for Utilities Man 2d Class Edward A. Bousquet, USN, a Navy Support force member of the 1957 wintering party at Wilkes Station during the IGY.

An island in the southern part of Newcomb Bay, Windmill Islands, east of McMullin Island and south of Kilby Island. Photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1947), the Soviet Antarctic Expedition (1956) and ANARE (1956, 1962 and 1963). The island was named after F. Bøving third officer on MV Thala Dan in 1965, who assisted in a hydrographic survey in the vicinity.

A prominent plateau of snow and ice about 9 km north of Bastion Hill. It has an area of about 90 square km and is about 1,830 m high, considerably higher than the Brown Hills, which it overlooks. Discovered and named by the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition (1962-63).

An ice-covered island, about 44 km long and 4-11 km wide, shaped like a figure eight, about 53 km north-east of Cape Elliott on the Knox Coast of Wilkes Land. Discovered on 28 January, 1931, by BANZARE (1929-31), under Sir Douglas Mawson, who named it after Isaiah Bowman, then Director of the American Geographical Society.

A small nunatak, about 90 m high, about 17 km south-east of Mount Caroline Mikkelsen on the Ingrid Christensen Coast. Mapped by Norwegian Cartographers from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936). Named after John S Boyd, physicist at Wilkes in 1965.

Brattnevet is a descriptive name for a small cape, originally named by the Norwegian Lars Christensen Expedition in 1939 and shown on Hansen Chart number 10 in 1946. Bratt = steep Nev = protruding point or edge. Nevet is the definite singular form of nev.

The eastern part of Long Fjord, Vestfold Hills. It is connected to the main part of the fjord by narrows and is probably less saline. Photographed by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37) and mapped as a lake by Norwegian cartographers, who called it Breidvatnet (The Broad Lake). The feature was also photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47), the Soviet Antarctic Expedition in 1956 and ANARE in 1957 and 1958. This part of Long Fjord has been traversed many times by ANARE parties on their way to and from the remote station Platcha.
