A mountain about 1,529 m above sea level, marked by a cluster of small peaks protruding above the ice, about 14.5 km WNW of Mount Strathcona in Queen Mary Land. Delineated from air photographs taken by USN operation Highjump (1946-47) and named by USACAN after Lieut. F.J. Gist, USN, co-pilot and navigator on Operation Highjump flights in this area.

A mountain ridge on the eastern side of Amundsen Bay, Enderby Land, about 22 km SSW of Mount Riiser-Larsen. Sighted in October, 1956, by an ANARE party led by Peter W. Crohn. Named after G. Gleadell, cook at Mawson in 1954.

A mountain peak with a rock ridge extending south-east for about 4 km. A large area of snow drift has accumulated on the north-east side of the ridge. The feature is situated about five km west of Mount Woinarski in the Prince Charles Mountains. Plotted from ANARE air photographs taken in 1956 and 1960. Named after T.K. Gleeson, weather observer-in-charge at Wilkes in 1965.

A conspicuous, ice-covered, flat-topped mountain standing at the northern side of Carlyon Glacier, 11 km south-west of Mount Keltie. Mapped from air photographs taken by the US Navy. Named by USACAN after J.J. Gniewek, geomagnetician, who wintered at Little America V in 1958.

A mountain about 11 km north-east of Simpson Peak, Enderby Land. Plotted from air photographs taken from ANARE aircraft in 1956 and 1957. The name was first applied by John Biscoe, probably after Lieut. Gen. Charles Gordon, brother-in-law of the Enderby Brothers, owners of his vessel. As Biscoe's feature could not be identified among the many peaks in the area, the name was applied to this feature.

A very prominent mountain about 150 km south-east of Magga Peak, in Oates Land. It is the highest mountain visible from the sea and appears as a snow-covered, glistening peak, shaped like the base of a flat-iron, inland behind the coastal ranges. The mountain appears amongst other mountains on air photos taken by USN Operation Highjump (1946). Sighted by Phillip Law, ANARE 1961 on the MV Magga Dan. Fixed by angles from the ship. Named after Senator J G Gorton, Minister Assisting the Australian Minister for External Affairs, 1960-64.

Gudmunson USN, explosive expert who wintered at Little America V in 1957; he blasted the foundation for the nuclear power plant at McMurdo Station during USN Operation Deepfreeze 1961.

Named for CT Harrisson, biologist with the 1911-13 Australasian Antarctic Expedition, who spent a year in Queen Mary Land as a member of the Western base party. In November 1914 he visited Macquarie Island as biologist on the Commonwealth Fisheries Investigation vessel Endeavour and was lost with her when she disappeared without trace after leaving the Island.
