LST 3501/ Labuan. First ANARE voyage, to Heard Island. Kerguelen stopover at Port Jeanne d'Arc to bunker was from 30 December 1947 to 1 January 1948. The buildings form part of the whaling/sealing station of Bossiere brothers. This was in operation 1908 to 1931.
